About me
I am a BACP accredited counsellor. I offer a safe and confidential space in which we can discuss and explore the distress caused by the difficulties that you are currently experiencing or by the problems you are facing in life. I work with adults in both open ended as well as and brief therapy offering a lively face-to-face therapeutic relationship that will respect your individual needs, your unique history and your particular aims and goals.
I work with adults in open-ended and brief therapy I offer a lively face-to-face therapeutic relationship which respects your individual differences, your unique history and your particular aims and goals. As well as having my private practice I have experience of working in the voluntary sector and at the NHS. My experience includes working with a wide range of presentations. I have worked with people seeking to understand and reduce the impact of past trauma (sexual abuse, domestic violence and emotional neglect and PSTD syndrome due to experiences of imprisonment, war, migration and geographical displacement and/or acculturation processes) in their present life, those who have experienced anxiety and depression.
As a Primary Care Counsellor in the NHS I have worked with people dealing with adjustment to loss and life-change stages, difficult or problematic relationships in general and in particular to themselves.
As an Argentine born, my first language is Spanish. Thus, If requested I can offer counselling in that language too. I have lived in the UK for many years and am able to offer therapy to people who experience cultural adjustment, identity difficulties (being/feeling the ‘other’ and othering others’), struggling with inclusion/exclusion dynamics; experiencing the yearning to belong and feeling integrated and or learning to live with diversity and difference.
